Getting mailing labels or emails from the university

Apply for lists, labels, or email addresses through

Phil Hull in the Registrar's Office
Room 123 A.W. Peterson Building
608/262-3783
phillip.hull@mail.rgstr.wisc.edu

Fill out the appropriate forms and receive an estimate of the cost of the lists or labels. The cost of the lists or labels is $35 for the file and $0.02 for each label. The cost for an email is $35 for the file and $30 if you would the Registrar Office to send it out.

Upon clarifying and approving your request, the Registrar's Office will process your request for pickup or delivery (if it is labels). You must pay for your request at the time of delivery.

Labels should be ordered at least four weeks before the time you want people to receive the information by mail

DoIT needs two weeks to produce lists, emails or labels. If you will be using University Bulk Mail Services, they require mailing information in electronic form.

* Note: If you are ordering labels for students of color, you must start the process by submitting your request to Yolanda Garza, Dean of Students Office, 75 Bascom Hall, 608/263-5700, rather than the Registrar's Office. Bring a draft of the letter or flier you want to send with your written request, including how payment will be made, to Dean Garza. If the request is approved, the Dean of Students Office will contact you when the labels are available for processing your mailing. Labels for students of color represent confidential information with respect to students; therefore, labels must be adhered by bulk services to insure that this confidentiality is maintained.

* Note: If you are trying to contact International students, contact Marilee Sushoreba at International Student Services (ISS) in room 217 Red Gym or by email at sushoreba@redgym.wisc.edu. ISS does not provide student information directly to registered organizations due to the confidentiality of information by citizenship, but the office is willing to transfer information electronically from organizations to students. The request should be made at least two weeks before the communication needs to be mailed.

* Information by ethnicity and citizenship represents confidential information. Therefore, policies for ensuring confidentiality with respect to information on students of color and international students must be strictly maintained.
